Connection

As I gazed down from a plane at the glittering web of city lights, I was struck by how our world is woven from relationships. Some are born of genuine bonds, while others emerge from a sense of obligation, often blurring the lines between what we choose and what we feel compelled to maintain. These connections can be both beautiful and, at times, pressuring.

This reflection inspired my series, where I use acrylic ink to explore the complexity of these connections. With the brush in hand, I let instinct guide my movements across the wet paper. Each stroke, each dot, emerged as the ink met the surface, creating shapes that are as unpredictable as they are deliberate. The lines vary—thick, thin, trembling, sharp—mirroring the intricate and often blurred lines of human relationships.

Through this process, I sought to evoke the dual nature of these ties—their beauty and their weight—shaped by both conscious intent and the randomness of chance.
