Innerscape
Some days, I found myself struggling with the dark side of myself, which sought to control me and drag me into the depths of shadow. The suffocating intensity of my inner storm ignited this series. I sought to transmute these chaotic emotions into concrete forms on canvas, confronting them head-on and revealing my darker self to others, hoping for understanding.
By externalising these inner torments, I aimed to spark a dialogue about our hidden emotions, turning private struggles into something we can collectively examine and also to give myself or someone like me the courage to share them, which is extremely discomforting to do so. My goal was to foster a more empathetic society that embraces the full spectrum of human experience, including the darker aspects.
I yearned to create a space where these shadows could be acknowledged without judgment, where my vulnerability would meet with empathy rather than fear. Through this exploration, I hoped to transform the conversation around our inner battles, finding a place where I could be my true self without masking it in a facade of brightness.
